“All RTO Services Are Going To Be Online From 1st Oct 2018”
All RTO services in all 13 regional transport offices in Delhi are going to be digitalized from 1st October 2018. All RTO services will become “E-RTO” services. RTO is that firm who maintained a data records of drivers for various states of India. RTO services like getting a driving licence or to transfer a vehicle registration certificate (RC) will be online after 1st October 2018. Even if any person wants to visit RTO office then he has to take a prior online appointment to meet officials at RTO office in Delhi.
In the year 2017 Delhi RTO offices were identified guards of cars who entering various Indian states and handling a workload of approx. 7 lakh vehicle-related files and over 10 lakhs people get their driving licence, during 2017 more than 5 lakh learning driving licence and approximately 2.5 lakh permanent driving licence was issued to people.
After doing all RTO services online it will reduce the workload of RTO offices and it will also reduce the visit of people to RTO offices because they have to book a prior appointment before going to RTO office.
For those people who don’t have any access of internet or who are not able to use internet RTO department will provide a helpdesk to those at the entry points of all RTO offices. These helpdesks will be managed by the trained people of Delhi Multi-modal transit Department (DIMTS) which will charge Rs60 for filling up the online form of RTO services.

People can visit online on www.parivahan.gov.in which is the website of the transport department where they can avail all the details of transport department services online.
Which RTO services are going to be Online?
The online transport services will include: Learner and permanent licence, renewal of a licence, change of address in driving licence, transfer of vehicle ownership, duplicate RC, change of address in RC, transfer of vehicle ownership, issuance of NOC.
